ASHLEY HARRIS
FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
After several successful years in engineering, Ashley has made the bold decision to step away from her role to fully pursue her long-standing passion for fashion design. This transition marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, where she is combining her creativity, technical expertise, and entrepreneurial spirit into building her namesake fashion brand and launching Drafted in Detroit - an upcycled sportswear line rooted in sustainability and innovation.
Ashley's journey in fashion began in 2008. She went on to graduate from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and Western Michigan University in 2013, earning a Bachelor's in Fashion Design and Minor in Business.
While studying in NYC, she had the opportunity to intern at the prestigious Vera Wang atelier - an invaluable experience that helped shape her vision and deepen her understanding of the industry.
HAILEY HARRIS
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
By day, Hailey is a Global Commodity Manager for an Automotive Supplier. She previously graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors in Supply Chain Management. She also went on to complete her Masters in Business Administration at Wayne State University.
While her educational experience has been in business, Hailey has always been a fashion lover. She spends her time outside of her day job supporting Ashley with key business decisions. You will see her pop up at any Ashley Harris Design event running the backstage activities and supporting wherever is needed to ensure a smooth delivery.
Being the sister of a fashion designer comes with so many perks. The most important one is getting to spend time with her bestie while working on projects that they love. Their ultimate goal is for you all to love the brand just as much as they do!
