Ashley Harris Design, in accordance with industry standards, will provide the necessary knowledge, skills and ideas to create a custom design for clients utilizing the following process, terms and conditions:
Initial Meeting/Design Counseling: This meeting will be to mutually agree on a concept for the garment which must meet the Ashley Harris Design aesthetic . This will include discussions of fabric types, colors, styles and shapes. At this time the agreement will be countersigned and a deposit placed.
Estimate for costs, labor, etc. will be delivered 5-7 days after initial meeting.
AHD (Ashley Harris Design) will create a design, develop the muslin fitted garment and prepare for the first fitting.
First Fitting takes place approximately 2-4 weeks from Initial Meeting.
At first fitting, muslin garment will be marked, pinned etc. to fit client.
At First Fitting client is to bring fabric for final garment and/or Ashley Harris will accompany client to purchase fabric suitable for garment. Fabric is to be purchased by the client.
Any additional minor tools required (not to exceed $25), or other notions required to complete the final garment will be charged at cost plus 10%, receipt copies provided to client.
At First Fitting, and before final garment construction begins, client will provide payment equal to 50% of the cost estimate provided.
Rates for custom pieces are based on hours to complete the task as agreed. This includes first muslin fitting garment and fashion fabric piece. AHD will keep a record of days and times used to construct the piece. Special appliqués and custom techniques require more time, and will be quoted as a separate piece.
Final Fitting/Delivery will be approximately 3-4 weeks from first fitting. Upon satisfactory completion and fitting, the final 50% is due upon delivery.
